Watch Memory Foam's Animated Video For New Single 'Moon Power'
Tāmaki Makaurau's sci-fi punks Memory Foam elevate our Tuesday with the most innovative use of AI-assisted visuals we've seen in a local music video yet, conjured onto screens by animator / director / editor Michael Logie (F In Math, Mint Chicks). The first single from Memory Foam's new album waiting in the wings, the frenzied "vamp noir" sonics of 'Moon Power' are further amplified by digitally manipulated images of the group, shot by Logie then mutated ("using stable diffusion's SDXL model") into a lurid, hyperreal back alley bloodbath — made with support from NZ On Air. Smash play and look forward to more from Yuko Miyoshi, Samantha Webb, Rory Dunne, Guy Innes and Samuel Moore in the near future...
'Moon Power' is out today on major streaming services.
