Shonen Knife Returning To New Zealand In March
Absolute legends of Japanese pop-punk Shonen Knife have announced their majestic return to Aotearoa, treating local fans to headline gigs in Tāmaki Makaurau, Waiheke Island, Raglan and Te Whanganui-a-Tara this coming March. Creators of such tremendously catchy anthems as 'Lazybone', 'Tomato Head', 'Twist Barbie' and 'Capybara', plus making the world safe for songs about snacks with 'I Wanna Eat Chocobars', 'Banana Chips', and 'Sweet Candy Power' across 20 (!) albums — including 2023's new Our Best Place — Shonen Knife have been revered as real deal punk rock originals since their formation in Osaka in 1981. Counting Kurt Cobain amongst their legions of devotees (EU tour mates Nirvana would play 'Twist Barbie' live), make your pilgrimage and dance your butt off with Atsuko Yamano, Risa Kawano and Naoko Shibata at the following dates, brought to you by Susie Says!...
