Ōtautahi's fiendish no wave "family band" Moider Mother — the trio of Nick Harte (Shocking Pinks), Hannah Harte and Noah McKay — are slithering out from their studio lair for Saturday's Halloween Thrash! with Am Himmel and Les Fuzz Minou at Lyttelton Coffee Company. They've unveiled a two track sequel to their March's morbidly obsessed debut EP Maimed Infant, gifting listeners their head-pounding 'Brick in a Stocking' and depraved gothic melodrama 'Thrash Me' (a cover of early '80s Berlin electronic post-punks Malaria!). “I am filthy. I am riddled with lice. Hogs, when they look at me, vomit. My skin is encrusted with the scabs and scales of leprosy, and covered with yellow pus. A family of toads has taken up residence in my left armpit and, when one of them moves, it tickles. In my right armpit there is a chameleon which is perpetually chasing them, to avoid starving to death. My anus has been penetrated by a crab.
