Listen To Bulletbelt's New Album 'Burn It Up'
It's been an epic three year journey to the launch of Pōneke extreme metal veterans Bulletbelt's fifth album Burn It Up. Welcoming to the fold new vocalist Diego Attinger, the team of founder / drummer Steve Francis, bassist Tim Mekalick and guitarist Josh O’Brien ram-raid listeners with laser-like focus on their new studio long player, recorded true to their powerhouse live performances ("all live instruments, no triggers, patches, simulations or samples") with co-producer James Goldsmith (Beastwars, DARTZ) at the capital's Massey Studio. The group's unsparing intensity is matched only by their unwavering precision across the eight track long player, charging into battle with the breakneck title track, then achieving stratospheric altitudes with 'Arminius' — adventuring into balladic realms on handful of tunes to shine the spotlight on Attinger's soaring vocal talents, notably on recent single 'Cosmic'.
Jetting away to tour the EU with Semblant, Bulletbelt will be back joining US crossover pioneers D.R.I. on their two date Aotearoa tour this coming February. Gloriously hellish cover artwork by Mr Wolf sets an imposing scene for Burn It Up — order your own copy on vinyl LP and / or compact disc HERE, watch the grisly new claymation video for latest single 'No Afterlife' made by Charlie Jones, and go catch Bulletbelt at the dates following...
