Vorsen Share Debut Single 'Terraformer' - Touring Nationwide In September
Helmed by Aotearoa noise-rock pioneer John Halvorsen of Bailterspace and The Gordons ("arguably the most sonically challenging New Zealand act of their generation"), the first single has finally been unleashed from his new project Vorsen. Halvorsen intones "It's a whole new world for the new generation" in a manner sounding more darkly ominous than reassuring on 'Terraformer', conjuring mental imagery of the dystopian mega-projects of power-crazed billionaires. Swirling guitar drones and piston-like rhythms generate furious momentum, pummelling listeners with near-inhuman power and precision, on the lead release from Vorsen's forthcoming debut album A World On Fire.
The trio of Halvorsen, bassist Hayden Ellis and drummer Steve Cochrane embark on the second part of their nationwide tour next weekend — playing back to back shows in Ōtautahi, Ōtepoti and Lyttelton, then heading to Tāmaki Makaurau and Pōneke the following week. Hit play on 'Terraformer' and get amongst at the dates following...
