Jenny Don't & The Spurs Returning To New Zealand

Since their whirlwind debut visit to Aotearoa in late '22, Portland's Jenny Don't & The Spurs have unleashed their new bundle of tunes The Singles Roundup, and now they're heading on back our way to treat local punters to round two. Arising from punk roots, Jenny Don't & The Spurs are the country and western outlaw collective of singer / guitarist Jenny Don't (of garage punks DON'T) and husband Kelly Halliburton (Pierced Arrows, P.R.O.B.L.E.M.S.), with Christopher March on guitar / steel and percussionist Willie Weeks, upholding the legacy of departed drummer Sam Henry (Wipers, The Rats), who sadly passed away from cancer last year. They'll be touring nationwide from mid-October onwards, joined in the South Island by Cantabrian rockers Adam Hattaway & The Haunters — head along and give them a warm welcome back at the dates following, with more shows to be announced...

Hailing from the wilds of Oregon, JENNY DON'T & THE SPURS have been playing their raucous honky tonk sounds for over ten years and spent a few weeks here last year, winning over audiences show by show. With roots in Portland's fertile punk and garage scenes - bass player Kelly Halliburton was in the Pierced Arrows with Dead Moon's Fred & Toody Cole and the Spurs late and lamented original drummer Sam Henry was in the legendary Wipers - Jenny Don't & the Spurs are more fun than you can have even with your chaps on and they're gonna tear the house down every time.
