Listen To Clementine Valentine's New Album 'The Coin That Broke The Fountain Floor'
Raised in Hong Kong and based in Coromandel, the sister pairing of Clementine Valentine aka Clementine and Valentine Nixon (formerly Purple Pilgrims) today tighten their grip on our taringas with their new album The Coin that Broke the Fountain Floor via Flying Nun Records. A celestial body of “dreams crushing, wishes gathering, and an abundance of hope”, the siblings propel their narrative and sonic repertoire in their crafted abandon of dream-pop and new age song. Their mythically riveting debut under their own names was produced by New Yorker Randall Dunn, mastered by Brooklynite Heba Kadry, and features the outstanding drumming of Matt Chamberlain (David Bowie, Lana Del Rey, Fiona Apple). The duo’s poetic precision and gossamer-glazed vocals will be gracing the Going Global Presents 2023 Artist Showcase from next Friday, before they tour Aotearoa throughout September...
