Dictaphone Blues Unleashes 'Greetings From Glen Eden' EP + Video 'No Beef'
Taking "cues from the contents of my dusty teenage CD wallet", Tāmaki Makaurau's Dictaphone Blues have unfurled their unabashedly '90s inspired Greetings From Glen Eden EP. Penned by helmsman Edward Castlelow with uber-talented bandmates Brad Fafejta (Créme Jéan, Teen Wolf) on guitar, Morgan Leary (Kathy Bates Motel) on bass and Jamie Hannah on drums, the new EP busts out explosive choruses and heavy fuzz-laden guitar aplenty, bundling in previously released anthem 'Soothe The Muse'. Don’t miss the indie rock stalwarts’ launch event at Tāmaki Makaurau’s The Wine Cellar with psych-country king Vincent H.L, and hit play on the DIY clip for the sizzling 'No Beef' below, made by Leary and Sian Fenwick...
“I had a hankering to make something loud and powerful, to write songs that would be easier to play and enjoy live. Growing up in small town NZ I found escape in the grunge and alt-rock bands of the 90s, but my creative path has led me further and further away from that sound. Revisiting songs from that era ignited an energy I wanted to explore again”. — Edward Castelow
