Erny Belle Announces Hōtoke Tour 2023
Finalist for both the prestigious Taite Music Prize and the Auckland Live Best Independent Debut Award last month, Erny Belle aka Aimee Renata (Ngāpuhi) has announced her first ever Aotearoa headline tour. The Tāmaki Makaurau / Maungaturoto songwriter achieved seemingly instant acclaim in late 2021, seizing student airwaves with mesmerising, country-inflected back to back singles ‘Burning Heaven’ and 'Hell Hole', closely followed by the release of her self-produced, South Pacific gothic debut studio long player Venus Is Home in early 2022 (reissued on vinyl LP by Flying Nun). No stranger to the stage — having played local shows with Billy Bragg, Orville Peck and Andy Shauf — Erny Belle's keenly anticipated Hōtoke Tour (winter tour) will take the artist with band to Lyttelton, Te Whanganui-a-Tara and Tāmaki Makaurau, wrapping up with two headline dates at Point Chevalier RSA.
