Bryony Matthews Unveils New Album 'We're All The Same'
Touring all around Aotearoa with band in May, Ōtautahi songwriter Bryony Matthews has shared her long-awaited sophomore album We're All The Same. Raising her young daughter and honing her musical talents over the six years since her debut album Little Queen in 2017, the new long player brings together material from various stages in the artist's life over the past half decade, touching on resonant themes relating to different aspects of the shared human experience. Co-produced by Ryan Fisherman and Josh Holmes (both of whom also play on the record), We're All The Same conveys a deep sincerity on each track, tied together by the focus of the title tune, in which Matthews delivers a message of "the importance of equality, acceptance, looking after our environment and focussing on our similarities rather than our differences."
