Surf Friends Drop Euphoric Single 'Woohoo'
Tāmaki Makaurau's Surf Friends have shared the euphoric final advance single from their upcoming album Sonic Waves, recorded with long time producer Mark Howden and launching in full via Flying Nun on 17th March. Combining inspiration from shoegaze and jangle-pop, new tune 'Woohoo' achieves a cheerful, dreamy and noise driven sound, with lyrics centred around Brad Coley and Peter Westmoreland's shared love for surfing and skating. Go give them a high five and boogie on down at this month's release shows, taking over The Thirsty Dog on 18th March and Raglan's The Yot Club on 25th March...
'Woohoo' is really our ultimate stripped back surf / skate song. The lyrics speak for themselves — we think about surfing and skating all the time!”
