Soaked Oats Unveil Video For 'Pink Beach’ feat. Motte
Soaring to the upper echelons of the Top 20 NZ Album Chart, Soaked Oats are popping the cork on their kaleidoscopic new album Working Title with a nationwide tour — taking Oscar Mein, Conor Feehly, Max Holmes and Henry Francis to Aotearoa's four main centres in late March / early April. They've served up a scenic audio-visual appetiser with a brand new clip for 'Pink Beach' from the album, featuring harmonies by Ōhinehou / Lyttelton sonic traveler Motte — complementing their luminous, lullaby-like ballad with meditative coastal footage "filmed by Jake Mein around Cape Foulwind from sunrise to sunset". Edited by Oscar Mein and made with support from NZ On Air, take in the dreaminess and don't miss Soaked Oats at the following local dates, as part of their Working Title tour of Australasia kicking off in Brisbane next week...
“Jake told me he wanted to make a video for this song, and it didn’t take much to see it taking place on the West Coast - an area we’re connected to via our Dad. So I sent him over there with a limited amount of film, and the rule of shooting from sunrise to sunset, to create a visual ode to a place that is a part of him, a part of his father, and becoming a part of his children. There’s something in there between the sea, the sand, himself, his Dad, his child, and time. And the song of course…” — Oscar Mein
