Office Dog Unleash 'Big Air / Warmer'

Who doesn't want a furry friend to keep them company as they take care of business? While many Tāmaki Makaurau denizens (including myself) are currently working from home due to the looming threat of Cyclone Gabrielle, they can cozy up to the guitar-fuzz sounds of Kane Strang's new project Office Dog. Having recently graced the stage at Eyegum's GREAT SOUNDS GREAT Festival 2022, the super city based team of Strang, bassist Rassani Tolovaa and Mitchell Innes unleashed on Friday "the last taste of OD before the full length debut," their second two track EP following December's assured debut 'In The Red / Tightropes'. Herky-jerky stomper 'Big Air' grabs listeners by the shoulders and shakes them all about, while the more restrained and elegant 'Warmer' (featuring De Stevens on piano) creates room to breathe as the trio move towards an undulating cog-like rhythmic crescendo — hit play on both tunes here...
