Press release:
We’re thrilled to welcome our second wave of artists to come on board for Port Noise, thus completing our final lineup for this four stage extravaganza in Ōhinehou Lyttelton. Taking place at neighbouring local venues Loons, Lyttelton Coffee Company, and Wünderbar, Port Noise aims to showcase a diverse selection of artists from around Aotearoa.
Joining us on March 11th will be southern improv noise legends The Dead C, port’s own resident disc spinner Keitamean, thought provoking afro-pop MC Phodiso, skiffle grog trio Pumice, techno beat pusher WAEWAEXPRESS, and Tāmaki jangle pop favourites Voom.
These new entrants to our lineup will of course be alongside crooner gone honk Ben Woods, the return of squelch-hell rockers The Dance Asthmatics, swamp country legend and rural ventriloquist Delaney Davidson, moody hitmaker Ferby, flowing dance dreamboats Glass Vaults, beat hypnotherapists Half Hexagon, modular warehouse raver Horatio Kane, four-to-the-floor master Keepsakes, horrorshow grinders Wet Specimen, and everyone’s favourite psychedelic slow-motion family band Womb.
We’ve curated a Spotify playlist filled with the artists performing for you to marinate in while waiting for the festival. You can listen to it here.
In a space curated to embrace the industrial grime of our town while expanding the limits of what one may expect from a music festival–– we invite both audience and artist alike to come bask in the wild glory of this shared true telling of the self.
