BEACHWARE Drop Debut Album 'It's Only Time'

As a special Christmas present to us all late last year, Tāmaki alt-pop fanatics BEACHWARE shared the delightful news of a nationwide album release tour in the new year. The new year is now well and truly upon us, as is the aforementioned tour and today their debut album It's Only Time. With the celebrations officially kicking off tomorrow evening at Tāmaki's Big Fan, it's time to deep dive into the band's very first full length collection - from instant earworm opener 'Give it Up' to the tasty hints of indie sleaze on the likes of 'The Arcade', It's Only Time is made for repeat listens. Along with producer Tom Healy, occasional co-writer Merk and horns from Supergroove's Tim Stewart, BEACHWARE band mates Julia Morris, James Mac, Rob Hartnell, Josh Nicholas, Alexandra Selkirk-Hanna and Scotty Pearson have crafted nine tracks of exciting, high energy pop-rock, ripe for raucous nights of crowd-packed dance floors. "So much has happened since we began making this album. Children have been born, members have moved overseas, returned and then moved away again. It’s only time became a bit of a mantra while the world stopped and waited for normality to resume. It’s tongue in cheek cause time is really all we have but you can’t always be so focused on what comes next. The album being finished is a good reminder to just sit with something, and not let the world or industry pace rush things."
