Recently disrupted by the lingering presence of Covid in our community, Tāmaki Makaurau / Te Whanganui-a-Tara collective Recitals are bringing their Orbit I album release tour to the capital's Vogelmorn Hall and Papaioea's Snails this weekend. Member of the group and one third of Palmy's mighty Soda Boyz, Josh Finegan aka producer ABG has remixed two tracks from Recitals' debut Flying Nun collection, the first of which launched late last week in time for Bandcamp Friday. Re-sculpting the intimate original into pulsing, yet no less dream-like new shapes to move bodies on dancefloors, 'The Pip (ABG Remix)' is out now to be followed by 'Arrow (ABG Remix)' on 16th December, with all proceeds going to Gender Minorities Aotearoa — "so dig deep if you've got the pūtea". Hit play and listen up to ABG's new bar is low EP too, which dropped in October of this year...
