Listen To Soft Bait's Debut Album 'Plot Points'
Tāmaki Makaurau's rising force Soft Bait have unleashed their keenly awaited debut album Plot Points following a handful of killer singles, just ahead of next month's triple date release tour. Abrasive, cavernous, urgent, ominous and sometimes disarmingly delicate, Soft Bait's post-punk world of sound was produced by Peter Ruddell (Wax Chattels, Sulfate), while songwriter Louisa Nicklin dueted with vocalist / guitarist Josh Hunter on both the title track and slow-burning newie 'Perfect Orders'. Originating from tunes laid down by guitarist Patrick Hickley over a few years while residing in London, sculpted into shape with Hunter, and later joined by drummer Cameron MacKintosh and bassist Ezra Simons (Earth Tongue), Plot Points rattles off nine gripping sonic tales that don't veer away from the strange side of the tracks. Soft Bait will be letting rip in Auckland, Hamilton and Wellington with special guests Jim Nothing, Ringlets, Babe Martin, Soft Plastics and Mirror Ritual, plus catch them at Flying Nun's all-star Beautiful Things rager on 26th November...
