Premiere: Ebony Lamb Shares Single / Video 'Take My Hands At Night'
Ebony Lamb enters an exciting new era with the today's launch of 'Take My Hands At Night', the first single and video from the Pōneke-based songwriter's just-announced forthcoming solo album Successful Feelings. Co-produced with the team supreme of Bic Runga and Kody Nielson — who both also contributed instrumentation and engineering assistance — the luminous 'Take My Hands At Night' signifies an evolutionary leap for the Eb & Sparrow co-founder, drifting dreamily yet purposefully and sparkling with delicate details. A clear eye for talent, Lamb worked with director / DOP Ezra Simons (Earth Tongue, Soft Bait), photographer Frances Carter (Wellness), Lara Daly and David Argue to conjure up the song's monochromatic visuals, majestically shot on 16mm film and made with support from NZ On Air.
Celebrating her single's release this weekend with Tom Cunliffe in Christchurch and Oamaru, Ebony Lamb will soon be embarking on a nationwide tour with NZ-raised / LA-based tunesmith Jess Cornelius (Teeth and Tongue), who'll be playing as a duo with Mikal Cronin (also of Ty Segall's Freedom Band) for all five dates. Lamb has assembled a new all-wahine band for the tour, featuring Olivia Campion (Yumi Zouma) and Phoebe Johnson (Revulva). Don't miss these special double headline dates in November and look forward to more details on Successful Feelings as they come to light...
