Dictaphone Blues Returns With Single 'Soothe The Muse'
It's been a wee while since we heard from Tāmaki Makaurau's Dictaphone Blues, if not from songwriter Edward Castelow himself, who unveiled his solo album Mirth to the world in early 2021. Castelow's first new release under the Dictaphone Blues moniker in three years is fuzz-rockin' grunge anthem 'Soothe the Muse', which arose from his own experiences as a parent, as he explained this morning to 95bFM Breakfast host Rachel Ashby. Celebrating the 15th anniversary of Dictaphone Blues this year, Castelow has a new EP out soon entitled Ephemeral Sensible and a fresh live band to boot — featuring Morgan Leary (Cindy), Brad Fafejta (Créme Jéan) and Jamie Hannah (Spawts). Also playing in the Coromandel at Eggfest 2023 with Ty Segall and more in early February, don't miss the all-star foursome performing fresh tunes and time-honoured classics at Whammy with buds She’s So Rad on 18th November...
