Proteins Of Magic aka Kelly Sherrod graces our Friday with an audio-visual spectacular by the name of 'Lethal', the Nashville-based Aotearoa artist's spellbinding new single and video released by new local imprint Particle Recordings. Embarking on an eight date nationwide tour starting tonight at Pōneke's Pyramid Club (immediately following guest performances for Dimmer's tour), the animated visuals for 'Lethal' are a change of pace in that they're not created by the multi-talented Sherrod — who delegated directing, filming, animation and editing responsibilities this time around to US artist Rory White aka RORSHAK. Made with support from NZ On Air, the beautifully shot clip's dark storybook-like sensibilities dovetail with P.O.M's spiralling rhythms and soaring vocals, meditating "on the feeling of being empowered even in the face of negative forces."
