Watch Princess Chelsea's Video For New Single 'Forever Is A Charm'
Masterfully forging her own distinctly dreamy sound over a solo career spanning more than a decade, Aotearoa's globally beloved Princess Chelsea aka Chelsea Nikkel will be unveiling her fifth studio album Everything Is Going To Be Alright on 7th October. Blending an almost Tom Petty-ish chugging groove with ear-tickling synth melodies, reminding this listener a bit of The Stranglers, the artist's 'Forever Is A Charm' is out today with a new video directed and produced by Stuart Page. Princess Chelsea reflects on the nature of infinitude from within the palace-like interior of Tāmaki Makaurau's The Civic Theatre in the clip, feeling a touch like the unnervingly atemporal final episode of UK sci-fi suspense series Sapphire & Steel.
Acclaimed by Shayne Carter as "a great band" in yesterday's interview with the Dimmer helmsman, Princess Chelsea's live band includes Jasmine Balmer (BEING.), Simeon Kavanagh-Vincent (Lucky Boy^), David Harris (Sulfate), Joe Kaptein (Muroki) and Josh Worthington-Church (Galaxy Bear), all of whom will be joining her on tour with special guest Mousey in December. Heading overseas for headline events in the UK & Europe, hit play on Princess Chelsea's 'Forever Is A Charm' clip made with support from NZ On Air, and don't miss her homecoming shows at the dates below...
