Jakob Announce Wellington Headline Show
The three members of pioneering Hawkes Bay post-rockers Jakob have many pots on the boil at the moment. The Taite Music Prize winning team of Jeff Boyle, Maurice Beckett and Jason Johnston have announced an exceptionally rare headline event at Pōneke's San Fran on 12th November — performing time-honoured classics and road-testing new material in preparation for their long-awaited fifth studio album, with support from Bachelor of Architecture.
Making the most of their visit to the capital, Boyle and Johnston's hugely popular Radiohead tribute project Hail To The Thieves will be treating gig-goers to an expertly executed "epic array of Radiohead tunes" at San Fran on Friday the 11th, the evening before Jakob's gig. We strongly advise grabbing tickets while you can, as Hail To The Thieves shows are regularly sold out occasions.
Jakob bassist Maurice Beckett has been highly productive too, last week unfurling a powerful new single and video from his project Desbot which you can check out HERE. Grip the details for Jakob and Hail To The Thieves' Wellington gigs below...
