French For Rabbits Announce 'The Overflow' Release Tour
Te Whanganui-a-Tara dreamboats French For Rabbits have announced a six date nationwide tour, a long overdue and much-deserved celebration of their 2022 Taite Music Prize nominated album The Overflow. The team of songwriter Brooke Singer, guitarist John Fitzgerald, multi-instrumentalists Ben Lemi and Penelope Esplin alongside drummer Hikurangi Schaverien-Kaa, French For Rabbits will be joined on their travels across Aotearoa by special guests to be announced soon. On release, we said The Overflow "is back-to-back FFR classics — further refining their melodic pop and exploratory electronic sensibilities into a quietly magical, emotionally transporting sound that's all their own". Singer shared her excitement for the forthcoming shows...
"After a quiet few months for us and our friends in the live music industry, we’re looking forward to returning to the stage to celebrate our new album in some glorious locations including the historic Old St Paul’s in Wellington. We can’t wait to be back in that magical spell-binding space - the spontaneity, and the feeling of community and communion that comes with live events
Your optimistic ticket-purchasing would be spectacular - ticket sales help us, the ticketing agents, booking agents, and the venues get back on our feet after these Covid-19 disrupted months.” — Brooke Singer
