Launched on the sly just under two weeks ago but certainly deserving of wider exposure, Palmerston North's Soda Boyz unveiled a cover of a tune by San José slowcore legends Duster. Released for free / koha download, with donations going to Gender Minorities Aotearoa, Soda Boyz's contemplative and taut rendition of the second track from Duster's considerably more lo-fi 1996 Christmas Dust cassette was laid down in mid 2021 at Whare Morris, while the band were working on demos of new material — listen here...
