While I have not personally been following the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics, I've gotta assume there's been at least some running events (presumably involving the use of snowshoes) as Rangiora secret weapons Best Bets have just unleashed brisk new bop 'Olympic Sprinter'. The latest single revealed from Olly Crawford-Ellis, James Harding (both of Transistors), Matt Phimmavanh ("Christchurch primary schools orchestra 1998-99") and Joe Sampson's (Salad Boys, T54, The Dance Asthmatics) forthcoming debut album On An Unhistoric Night is certainly a big win on the catchiness front — squeezing their inspiring tale of an unlikely athletic individual into under three minutes of muscle flexing power-pop action, co-produced by Brian Feary...
