Erny Belle Shares Debut Single / Video 'Burning Heaven'

Brand new track 'Burning Heaven' is the head-turning introduction to Erny Belle and her debut album Venus Is Home, due out in January next year. Moniker of Tāmaki / Maungaturoto-based musician Aimee Renata (Ngāpuhi), the folk songwriting newcomer makes one hell of a first impression on her debut single and stunning accompanying visuals co-directed with Matt Hunter, featuring Renata in full bridal garb, wielding an axe, and lighting a fire on a pitch black shore. 'Burning Heaven' creeps in with sparse, grooving percussion from William Jackson as Erny Belle descends rolling hills, long white train dragging through tall grass behind her. As she barrels the camera and stokes the flames, Belle's hypnotic acoustic melodies and haunting voice float over drums and moments of cutting piano in what she's called "an ode to ones artistry and all that lives within it".

She also describes 'Burning Heaven' as "a conversation between myself and what I identify as the spirit of creation. Acknowledging it as a union. It is the practice of balance, within desire.
