Paul Cathro Drops 'My Beautiful World' EP

Bass playing co-founder of Ha The Unclear (who've sadly had to put their current tour plans on hold) and songwriter / frontman for alizarin lizard, Paul Cathro has been putting the downtime between shows to great use with his joyously fuzzy and hook-packed new My Beautiful World EP. Recorded "in my bedroom during lockdown," Cathro reflects on the perilous state of our planet and beyond on the four song collection, shouldering the weight of the world like an Antipodean Atlas before dialling down to smaller scale concerns on affably relatable closer 'Pocket Dial'. The productive Tāmaki-based singer and multi-instrumentalist has certainly been no slouch in the songwriting department during 2021, who unleashed in July his mammoth Once a Week Releases collection — gathering together tunes from a project where he released a fresh song online every week for 22 weeks.
