Premiere: CRUSH Unveil Debut Singles 'F*ck The Noise / Fantasy Fiction' + Video

Stan-able Pōneke dream-pop mainstays Charlotte Forrester (Womb), Richard Larsen (Glass Vaults) and Bevan Smith (Signer, Glass Vaults) have broken the crush-o-meter today with news of their brand new band CRUSH and two debut cuts. Written and recorded throughout 2019 and 2020, singles 'Fuck the Noise' and 'Fantasy Fiction' are a heavenly blend of mellow Glass Vaults pop and Forrester's gentle, heart melting vocals. If that hasn't already given you a serious case of heart-eyes, the introductory CRUSH tracks also feature contributions from Ōtautahi songwriter Ben Woods, Cory Champion of Borrowed cs, and Jonty O’Connor aka Zane 2000.

Duet number two 'Fantasy Fiction' lands with a vertigo-inducing visual accompaniment, featuring four minutes of plummeting skydivers, courtesy of Swedish videographer Johannes Bergfors. Perhaps it's a reflection of the stomach dropping feeling of experiencing CRUSH and hearing Forrester and Larsen's familiar, breathy voices taking turns and then crossing paths as they sing about love and kissing and stuff.
