Aotearoa Level 2 Gigs For The Weekend

100 max capacity seated shows are go for Alert Level 2 Aotearoa, and boy are the multi-stop tours and live gig snaps a sight for sore eyes up here in little locked down Tāmaki. The weekend ahead offers a multitude of live events to choose from if your alert level allows it [check out the full Level 2 guidelines HERE], with plenty of opportunities to create your own version of one of my favourite seated and spaced out gig memories: Front row Tooms at Wine Cellar, while Peter Ruddell from Wax Chattels delivered me red wine. Bliss!

Pōneke is spoilt for choice, with events lined up for the end of the week from Sea Mouse, Sonya Waters, Raiden Freeman and more. If you're down Te Waka a Māui way, Mousey's intimate mini tour with violinist Zoé Mi is cruising through Oamaru and Õtepoti this weekend, or if you're after something significantly noisier, Goya's Being Earnest EP release tour hits Ōtepoti and Christchurch in that order over Friday and Saturday nights. Ōtautahi is also treated to an evening of guitar rock from The Wendys and the Violet French Duo on Saturday eve, a special fundraiser gig for much-loved local venue Darkroom.
