Reincarnated from the circuit-fried ashes of cyberreality, Te Whanganui a Tara electronic artist Hybrid Rose has returned to serve up eleven futuristic bangers on Shapeshifter. The formerly retired alter ego of Valentina (whose debut long player Renaissance launched last month), the album smooshes together a formidably catchy selection of synth-soaked gems from throughout her oeuvre in celebration of Hybrid Rose's fifth anniversary — topped off with club-shaking new earworm 'Temporary', featuring London-based artists Faye and Røyale.
