Tidal Rave Announce 'Albumette' Nationwide Tour
In a masterpiece of musicianly co-ordination, Pōneke jangle / surf / fuzz-pop sextet Tidal Rave have rallied the troops for a six date album release tour, celebrating the forthcoming launch of their snazzily titled Albumette via Fishrider Records. Recorded by Lee Prebble and Andrew Downes at Newtown's fabled Surgery, the eight song Albumette was primarily written during the seemingly never-ending 2020 lockdown era, exploring such pertinent topics as "police incompetence, problematic capitalism, disconnection and in-between spaces." They'll be joined by buds including Lizard Prom, Cootie Cuties, Terror of the Deep, Bird Feeder, Solo Ono (featuring Tidal Rave's Frank Eggleton) and the intriguingly named Yer Maw’s 5g Meatsuit — here's the full lowdown...

Tidal Rave is excited to announce the release of their second album. ‘Albumette’ will be released in August 2021 through Fish Rider Records and the band will be touring New Zealand for the first time in its five year Existence! The album was recorded by Lee Prebble and Andrew Downes at the Surgery in Newtown. Mixed by Lee Prebble and Mastered by Mike Gibson. The eight tracks were written by the four songwriters and the band, mostly during 2020 when Covid prevented them from touring their debut album Heart Screams(2020).
Albumette, is a garage, surf and indie pop, inspired journey. It explores themes like police incompetence, problematic capitalism, disconnection and In-between spaces.
