Cuticles Unleash New EPs 'Steal My Statue' + 'Two Tracks For Non-Radio'
Emerging from the ashes of Oamaru no wave / sonic art trio The Trendees, Cuticles set the scene for their live debut in Tāmaki Makaurau this Saturday with four fresh tunes, generously dispersed across a pair of double-punch EP releases. Launched late last week, Cuticles' Two Tracks For Non - Radio leads with 'Discarded Cream Pavlova', a melancholic anthem reflecting on the unavoidable grind of workaday reality like some kind of poetic Southern flip-side to UMO's 'Weekend Run', whilst 'Motif Of Wonk' will cure any "case of the Mondays" with hyper-energising hook-tangles to liven up the office jukebox. Out today, the jangly and fuzzy 'Steal My Statue' evokes spirits of enraged property owners and undercover exploits, and explosive short 'n' snappy closer 'Invisible Barrier' leaves listeners wanting more than what is perceivably permitted. Thankfully there is indeed more, as Cuticles also unleashed compelling DIY videos for 'Steal My Statue' and 'Invisible Barrier' in an enviable and seemingly ongoing outburst of artistic prolificacy. Dive into the onslaught of releases below and don't miss them performing with Kraus and The Biscuits at The Wine Cellar on 17th July...
