The Datsuns Unleash New Album 'Eye To Eye'
Aotearoa rock gods The Datsuns are back and hyperenergised on their new album Eye To Eye. Setting the tone with searing diabolical cover artwork by Jaime Zuverza, the gang of Rudolf de Borst, Ben Cole, Christian Livingstone and Philip Somervell deliver an in-the-red sermon on letting rip with considerable style and aplomb on their eleven song collection, the Cambridge foursome's first studio record since 2014's Deep Sleep. Despite their famed early '00s cartoony public image, The Datsuns are in no way one trick ponies on Eye To Eye, sounding almost pastoral on organ inflected anthem 'White Noise Machine' and not worlds away from a glam-era Sparks on 'Raygun'. Long-term fans needn't fret though, as monstrous numbers like 'Other Peoples Money' give Fu Manchu a run for their money in the chunky riff action department. Sounding triumphant and epic throughout, smash play on the stream of Eye To Eye below...
'Eye To Eye' is out today via Hellsquad Records.
