Kraus Unveils 'Chocolate, Candy, Love and Dreams' EP
Aotearoa psychedelic artist Kraus has treated fans today to an enticing new collection, sporting the name Chocolate, Candy, Love and Dreams. Presenting six tracks drawing sonic inspiration from US electronic pioneer Laurie Spiegel and contemporary underground figures including DSR Lines, Cool Person, Hama and Luka Production, the new EP was created as "a form of sonic therapy" and was produced in bed due to the Auckland-based artist's chronic illness. Alluding to the pleasures of life, tracks such as 'Love and Dreams', 'Land of Compliments' and 'Horse Pyramid' envelop listeners in cascading synth melodies and mind-massaging rhythms, charged with positive transformative energy. There's simply no way we're taking this puppy off the office stereo anytime in the near or far future. Experience what may well be Kraus' most soothing and accessible release to date below, and don't miss him performing live at The Wine Cellar with Trioglodyte on 3rd June [tickets here], and at Audio Foundation on 5th June with deepState and Strange Stains [tickets here]...
"This album enhances clarity of the mind, and brings calmness during overwhelming situations. It supports emotional balance, and provides comfort during times of sadness and grief. It can also increase intuition and creativity.
Thank you to the night sky, the night winds, the north, the earth, pink amethyst, sorcery, beauty, and caves.” — Kraus
