Watch Grecco Romank's Video For 'Parnassus Van'
The musical mind mesh of Damian Golfinopoulos, Billie Fee and Michael Sperring, aka Grecco Romank, aka Auckland's premier waterboard act, have unfurled their latest single 'Parnassus Van'. From the electronic dance trio's forthcoming debut album Red Tower (currently only out on tape at live shows), 'Parnassus Van' shifts our focus North of the abandoned Otago primary school where they recorded the album, to the small titular town on Canterbury's upper cusp, which in turn was named after Mount Parnassus, the legendary home of Apollo. This is all to explain the band's description of the song as a "hymn to Dionysian politics, dripping in slimey occultist bogan trap", and the accompanying glitched-out clip that is well within Dionysus' realm of ritual madness and nips-out bacchanals. If that's your cup of tea, Grecco Romank open for Vanessa Worm and Eden Burns (read their recent chat with UTR's Chris Cudby here) this Friday 14th May, and sully the bFM Fancy New Band Showcase on the 28th. Their latest offering is best enjoyed with a kylix of wine on hand...
'Parnassus Van' is the latest single from Grecco Romank's forthcoming debut album 'Red Power'.
