Les Baxters Unveil Two Tracks From Self-Titled Album + Video
An otherworldly presence to all who witnessed them live when Les Baxters were originally active between 2014 and 2019, the Ōtautahi foursome are launching their forthcoming self-titled album this coming Friday 14th May, in conjunction with a special reunion event at Space Academy. The sonic super free sci-fi mind-meld of John Chrisstoffels (The Terminals, Dark Matter), Dave Imlay (Into the Void, No Exit), Paul Sutherland (Into the Void, Fence) and Erin Kimber (Sheet Sweater) have unveiled two tunes from the record, which is already sounding like an automatic purchase — ominously grooving no wave synth / spook-fest 'Toshi II' and the alluringly melodic yet uneasily chaotic 'Call Centre'.
