The Chills Share Single 'Destiny' + Live Video
Dunedin legend Martin Phillipps and his long-running group The Chills have their seventh studio album Scatterbrain looming on the horizon, set to drop in conjunction with an extensive launch tour of Aotearoa in April and May. Third single from the new record, 'Destiny' finds a clear-voiced Phillipps pondering notions of autonomy in the ever-encroaching face of the inevitable, joined on his balladic journey by a swelling guitar-pop arrangement. 'Destiny' arrives along with a glorious live clip of Phillipps and band performing the song at New Plymouth's The Festival of Lights 2021, filmed by Likuid Media that you can enjoy below...
“As I'm facing mortality and lurching closer to the grave I get to wondering how much of my predicament is the fault of my own designs and how much has been influenced by forces beyond my control." - Martin Phillipps
