Announcement highlights for a short and sunny week (at our Tāmaki Makaurau HQ anyhow) included Mermaidens are playing a full blown nationwide single release tour in March and April, on top of curating their very own Mermgrown boutique festivals in Auckland and Wellington, Ōtautahi's Ben Woods announced today an extensive tour of Aotearoa and a beautifully hypnotic video directed by Martin Sagadin, and indie rock champs Clap Clap Riot are hitting the four main centres this March. Pōneke metal maniacs Bulletbelt will be unleashing the Flames Of Hell (the title of their forthcoming new video) on a four date tour of Te Ika ā Māui, untamed rockers Labretta Suede & The Motel 6 are playing their final ever NZ shows before relocating to their spiritual home in the US, country / rocker Sam Bartells heads out on a summer run of Let's Go EP release shows this February, the stacked lineup of Lips, Phoebe Rings and Will Saunders are playing the next Music Of The Humans knees-up at Tāmaki's Cassette Nine, and Peach Promotions are turning up the heat for Pōneke's O' Week, organising two Fruit Salad! extravaganzas feat. DARTZ, Lilith, Corduroy. and even more. All that on top of the second lineup announcement for the already massive upcoming CubaDupa street festival adds up to a pretty bright future ahead if we collectively play our cards right.
