Silas Futura Shows You His Home Town In 'Precious' Video

With the luck and diligence of a country like ours, it's no wonder we've had a welcome glut of new music this summer. I'm only human, so I've still got some catching up to do, but one track that's been bouncing around my head since it dropped is Silas Futura's 'Precious'. Formerly known as Bobandii, Silas McClintock switched up the moniker last year and 'Precious' is his first official drop on the new name (unless you count this Pringles Can creation). The catchy pop number has been least four years in the making since SmokeyGotBeatz (SWIDT) shared the beat with Silas after they met in 2017, and although it's been a long time coming, he wrote "It never felt hard, and I never lost interest in it". The video, directed by Benji Taylor with support from NZ On Air, takes you on a one-on-one tour of McClintock's hometown, featuring his family band, faded baby pics, and home videos of a tiny skater Silas Futura.
