Listen To Roy Irwin's 'Anthology' Collection
While there were some swish local sounds snuck out over the summer break, nothing can touch Roy Irwin's absolutely flooring Anthology collection. Unveiled just after the new year begun and showcasing 32 songs recorded by the Tāmaki artist (and NO-CLIP member) between 2010 and 2020 (in chronological order), Anthology is a treasure trove featuring "18 songs that are no longer available to download anywhere else and 17 of my recent favourites." Anyone who's heard and loved Irwin's killer recent releases (including 2020's Self-Titled album) owes it to themselves to delve deeper into their home-crafted hits and vividly realised sonic ruminations — treat your earholes to the smorgasbord of good stuff below...
"Some of you might have already heard these before but I figured for anyone that is curious to what I've done before my last 3 albums might be interested in listening.
Pretty much a collection of the shit I'm least embarrassed about ever making in the first place.
I haven't touched any of the mixes and the audio levels will probably be everywhere but eh.
You could say it will give you an honest representation of where I was at in that specific time of my life lmao." — Roy Irwin
