Memory Foam Drop Raucous Self-Titled New Single
Tempur-Pedic punks Memory Foam unleash a wave of electric fuzz in their self-titled new single. 'Memory Foam' is the fourth in a series of crunchy punk-rock cuts from the band this year, following debut 'Burn Up' and subsequent student-radio picks 'Jimbo' and 'Jumping The Karp'. The band reckons their latest drop is a "subconscious ode to Sonic Youth", and with its out of control guitar wailing and more-is-more attitude, I think that's a pretty solid reckon. Not ones to rest on their laurels, the Memory Foam five-piece are bringing their noisy gems to Tāmaki stages this weekend at the 1:12 Christmas do and their own single release party, and again in 2021 for one more Auckland show and a spot in the No Future Festival line up.
