The Sundae Painters (Members of The Bats, The Clean, Tall Dwarfs) Share Singles 'Thin Air' + 'Aversion'
Announcing themselves to the world with two singles and videos, The Sundae Painters are the creative collaboration between members of some of Aotearoa's most trailblazing groups — The Bats, The Clean, Tall Dwarfs and Toy Love. Beaming out mysterious sonic frequencies from a farm shed in the South Island, bandmates Kaye Woodward, Alec Bathgate, Paul Kean and Mr. Choo Choo aka Hamish Kilgour's new project documents the four-piece "discovering themselves somewhere else musically". Accompanied by an evocative and playful new clip filmed by Kean at Moeraki and Kowai, 'Thin Air' is a gorgeous jangle-driven reflection sung by Woodward, while first single 'Aversion' serves up sublimely tangled, fuzzy guitar wig-outs and spoken word intonations.
