Press release:
Join DOONS for their first ever foray to the South Island to celebrate the release of their EP ‘The Importance of Being Indifferent’; a treatise in sincerity, earnestness and nuance, inspired by an Aotearoa New Zealand marred by social apathy. The Importance of Being Indifferent is characterized by a palpable feeling of millennial disillusionment, accompanied by darker sonics than what some have come to expect from the Waikato-born, Wellington-based four piece. Replete with intently honed songwriting (Elliott Dawson), shimmery lead guitar elegance (Benji’s Palace) and a potent rhythm section (Pierce Higginson / Tom Anderson), sincerity reigns supreme through a watery catalogue which is certified to make you feel. Joined by Neive Strang and a special guest.
