Future Islands Unveil New Album 'As Long As You Are'
Baltimore synth-pop heroes Future Islands have returned to regale us with a new album of sweeping, chest-beating anthems, sporting the title As Long As You Are. Launched in the midst of the most turbulent year in recent memory, Future Islands triumph over adversity to gift us eleven panoramic songs, with inimitable frontman Samuel T. Herring giving it his all as he tackles the challenges life throws at us, vanquishing old ghosts and earnestly embracing the new — including recent singles 'Thrill', 'Moonlight' and 'Born In A War'. We spoke with the hard-gigging gang (they've played exactly 1234 shows!) as they were in heavy prep mode for this weekend's A Stream of You And Me livestream extravaganza, which they promise will be a dazzling affair, broadcasting for Asia-Pacific region fans from 10pm (NZST) on Saturday 10th October. Tune in to UTR next week for the exclusive interview, score tickets to view Future Islands in action and open your ears to As Long As You Are below...
