NO-CLIP (P.H.F. & Roy Irwin) Share Debut Single 'Plushie'
The new electronic project of Tāmaki titans Roy Irwin and Joe Locke of P.H.F. (who's also just announced a new album), NO-CLIP have dropped a killer debut single titled 'Plushie' this morning via adventurous Aotearoa imprint Related Articles. Like being plunged into a Matrix-style iso-tank which blasts you through intense emotional highs and lows to swirling celestial cyber-realms, 'Plushie' is not only a musical match made in heaven, but also a reassuring sign that A: maybe 2020 has its upsides, and B: we've got lots more to look forward to from NO-CLIP in the near future. Imagine experiencing this track through an IMAX scale HD sound system and dive into NO-CLIP's universe below.
Roy Irwin opened up about NO-CLIP's collaborative origins: "We’re working on a few songs at the moment, I think after this single maybe a couple more and then an album. Joe and I have been wanting to make music together for a long time and have been recording songs for the last year but it’s only been the last 3 or 4 weeks that that we felt like we found a vibe for what we’re trying to do. It wasn’t really a conscious decision of when to do something, just a fairly organic process of messing around til it felt like a buzz."
