Auckland-based beat maker LAPIS has reemerged with heartbreaking new single 'Blue In Orange', a gorgeous 9-minute long exploration of the years since the track first started to form in 2013. The last we heard from LAPIS was the 24 electronic snippets and samples their 2018 drop SD Card Beattape, released via local collective The Grow Room, and they've since been stacking up phone-recorded demos and drafts to their Soundcloud. 'Blue In Orange' is LAPIS' official debut on Oregon label Fresh Selects, which they first signed to back in 2014, and now begin the album release cycle with a bangin' experimental-pop soundscape lead track that'll catch the attention of King Krule fans, James Blake fans, and anyone else with ears.
