K M T P Shares Debut EP 'P.S. C U Soon' + Video For 'Home'
We're all feeling pretty vulnerable at the moment, and Keria Paterson's (b-lush, Polyester) first EP as K M T P is the perfect catalyst for a good, soul-nourishing cry. P.S. C U Soon will have you reaching out and confessing platonic love on 'I Love My Friends', mourning something intangible on 'This Is A Recorded Message', and making plans to pack your bags on 'Home'. The latter has been released alongside a Karin Yamasaki directed "home video", cranking up the melancholo-meter with handy-cam slow zooms of Paterson in a grey-skied, rural paradise, complete with pops of colour in oranges, daffodils and red nasturtiums, and adorable snippets of a 3-foot tall, rosy cheeked K M T P. The EP itself is a celebration of friendship in its Tāmaki Makaurau dream team of Jonathan Pearce (The Beths) on mastering, and guest mixing from Amelia Berry (Amamelia, who also reviewed Eyeliner's new album on the site today) and The Wine Cellar's Rohan Evans. T Y V M K M T P for this sweet, emo-pop therapy — here's hoping the P.S. C U Soon EP release show can go on in some way shape or form.
"This EP is a series of songs written over a year, exploring common emotions and feelings about life: thinking about moving back home from the big city, struggling with everyday obstacles, breaking out from bad situations, and ultimately, loving your friends along the way."
'P.S. C U Soon' is out now via Sunreturn / DRM.
