The Big Fresh Collective Drop 'PROJECT BLUEBELT #2' Sega Dreamcast Remixes
Nary a fortnight goes by without an all-killer collection of tunes from Canterbury's The Big Fresh Collective, who are squarely in the zone with the four sizzling tracks showcased on PROJECT BLUEBELT #2. A great aspect to all that productivity is the capacity to tackle off-the-beaten-path themes, in this case they've rolled out the second in a series of compilations inspired by late '90s / early '00s game console the Sega Dreamcast, featuring stonking reworks of vintage game soundtracks by Krush Juke, Paploco, Liam K. Swiggs and Grandmaster Mahi. Liquid breakbeat-fuelled samples and hyper-catchy melodies zoom forward at a frantic pace, ideal for cranking at max volume as your squad patrols the streets of Redwood on a Friday night.
The Big Fresh Collective say PROJECT BLUEBELT #2 is "INSPIRED BY KILLING VIRTUAL COPS & SUBARU WRX's & YEAR 2000" – tuck in below, scroll downwards to hear Swiggs and Ōtautahi rapper And$um's current student radio hit 'Every Other Week' (also showcased on our new UTR August 2020 playlist here), and catch Swiggs bringing the heat with Pōneke crate-lovers DARTZ at darkroom on 5th September...
