Listen To Dargaville Futurist Club's Album 'Live At The Ancestors Club'
The latest in a groundbreaking run of releases from Noa Records, Dargaville Futurist Club's six track Live at The Ancestors Club harks back towards the free-spirited sonics expressed on the Aotearoa / Te Moana Nui a Kiwa imprint's early 2019 debut compilation 151 K RD: IMPROV. Presenting recordings from an intimate live performance by the Takiwira improvised music collective at The Ancestors Club ("an obscure run-down venue / hut in the middle of the countryside east of their hometown"), the new album is a gorgeous document of what they call 'Psychedelic Wairua Music', venturing through genre-melting zones encompassing "abstract sonic dimensions suggestive of psychedelic rock, noise, improv music and cathartic indigenous expressions."
'Live at The Ancestors Club' is out now digitally via Noa Records.
