Soft Plastics are really onto something – enticing millennials with responsible recycling, Twin Peaks nostalgia and lyrics like "I felt sad until I did not" and "It was your house but it was never my home". The Pōneke dream-pop group's third single 'My World / Your Girl' paints a picture of unrequited love, or a bleak, one-sided relationship told through vocalist Sophie Scott-Maunder's resigned, poetic lyrics. Just a two-piece this time around, Scott-Maunder and guitarist Jonathon Shirley recorded the new track at the Pyramid Club [who could always use your support] with help from Lochie Noble, resulting in this dreamy piece of David Lynch meets Rizzo-esque despair...
